SMART Document Camera
The SMART Document Camera offers you a convenient way to display and explore images of objects anytime and never lose the momentum of your lesson. The document camera's seamless integration with SMART Notebook collaborative learning software allows you to capture images and instantly add them to a SMART Notebook page. You can also write over images in digital ink or save them in the Gallery for later use.
Integration with SMART Notebook software enables you to transform images into interactive content anytime during a lesson to help your students stay interested and attentive. The SMART Document Camera comes with the latest version of SMART Notebook, and you can access and control the document camera directly from a menu inside the software. There's also a button on the document camera itself that allows you to capture images directly to SMART Notebook.
With the SMART Document Camera, you can keep students engaged by easily creating interactive learning opportunities in your classroom. Imagine the convenience of viewing a science experiment in real time with your entire class or displaying a book as you highlight key sections. It's also easy to let students share objects or schoolwork with the class.
The SMART Document Camera conveniently connects to other classroom technology products, including projectors, monitors and flat-panel displays. It also integrates with other SMART products such as the SMART Board interactive whiteboard, SMART Slate wireless slate and SMART Podium interactive pen display.
By combining 5.2x optical and 8.0x digital zoom, the SMART Document Camera displays images that are sharp and vivid. Quickly direct student learning by zooming in to show even the smallest details. You can also automatically focus images and adjust the document camera's brightness for varying light conditions.
Use a button on the SMART Document Camera to easily capture images directly to SMART Notebook software. You can also save images even if the document camera isn't connected to a computer by using an SD Memory Card (not included).
Use the SMART Document Camera menu to control image magnification, brightness and focus settings.
The document camera's head and arm rotate, so you can easily view an object from different angles. The lens can also be aligned to the eyepiece of a microscope without using an optical adapter.
The SMART Document Camera's 5.2x optical and 8.0x digital zoom delivers sharp and vivid static and moving images of any object. You can also direct learning by zooming in on an object's smallest detail.
The document camera connects to your SMART Board interactive whiteboard through a computer using a USB cable. You can also connect it to other technology products such as a computer monitor, projection screen or flat-panel display through the DVI-D, VGA and composite connections and the USB port.
The SMART Document Camera's control panel is intuitive, with a simple interface that allows you to conveniently control all the document camera's functions from one location.
You can connect all classroom peripheral devices and USB drives to the SMART Document Camera using the USB port.
Automatically focus any image and adjust brightness levels to suit varying light conditions. The LED lamp even allows you to use the document camera in a darkened room.
The SMART Document Camera weighs only 3.2kg (7lb), so it's easy to move around the room or share between classrooms. It's also easy to store and can be secured in your room using a Kensington cable lock.
